The buildable Drill is documented by players as a Large Hammer structure that pulls the Hot Zone toward its FOB while active. It needs Fuel Supplies and must be ready for activation.
Before you start
- A supplied FOB and the supported hammer/build option.
- Enough Build Supplies for the cost displayed in your current menu.
- Fuel Supplies stored in the FOB.
- A defended position and access to the Drill interaction.
Prepare the activation
WBC describes the Drill at 6:02 in its building tutorial: sufficient Fuel Supplies and a completed cooldown are required before activation can pull the Hot Zone.
- Select the Drill with the supported hammer and check its displayed construction requirement.
- Place it inside your FOB’s supported build area and finish construction.
- Inspect the FOB’s Fuel stock and the Drill’s readiness prompt.
- Activate when the prompt permits, then confirm the Hot Zone movement on the map.
- Watch the active state and fuel stock before planning another activation.

Distinguish the two Drill workflows
The player discussion separates a constructed FOB Drill from the map’s existing tower terminals and code system. The constructed Drill account describes bringing Build and Fuel supplies to a chosen FOB. It does not require first capturing a map tower.
Do not carry a tower-code instruction into the buildable Drill guide. Use the terminal or object that matches the system you are operating.

Read the actual requirements
Sources disagree on construction cost and fuel thresholds. This guide therefore leaves those values open rather than selecting the most frequently repeated number. The maximum active duration, cooldown length, fuel consumed per activation and interaction between competing Drills also remain unresolved.
Our suggested activation check is to have defenders and a resupply plan ready before drawing the objective to the base. This is tactical advice, not an additional game requirement.

Common problems
- Fuel carried nearby has not necessarily entered the FOB stock.
- A build menu entry is not a finished and ready Drill.
- Neither a universal number of Drills per FOB nor a guaranteed permanent Hot Zone lock is established here.
