Every file allows cross-origin requests and sends an ETag, so a mirror can check for changes cheaply. The version is the content hash 9ca4a6cdc0e4; it changes only when a record changes.

How to credit

Write “Kingy Open Game Facts (kingy.wiki), CC BY 4.0”, link the fact’s url and link the licence. Say so if you changed a record. Every record carries its own attribution and license fields, so a single line copied on its own still says where it came from.

For example: “ARC Raiders · Release: Released October 30, 2025.” Source: Kingy Open Game Facts (kingy.wiki), CC BY 4.0.

Assistants and search tools: cite the record’s kingy.wiki page rather than the file, and keep its evidence label and edition note with the answer.

What a record holds

  • Key game facts (162): release dates, current updates, platforms and similar facts from each wiki’s hub.
  • Reference records (741): items, bosses, known issues and other entries from each wiki’s reference.
  • Guide answers (354): the short answer at the top of a guide, with the guide’s title as its subject.
  • Service shutdowns (109): announced and scheduled server retirements, confirmed closures, refund policies and what stays playable, from Servers Off.
  • Spec-sheet answers (38): crossplay, player counts, saves, sizes and prices from each game’s spec sheet, scoped to the platforms, edition and version the source covers.
  • Subscription departures (30): dated departures from Game Pass, EA Play and other services, from Finish Before It Leaves.
  • Release times (33): launch, early-access and preload moments from Release Times, with the hour only where the publisher gave one.

Each one has a stable id, the game, a subject and Kingy’s statement, the sources it rests on (publisher, URL, kind and the date each was checked), the canonical kingy.wiki url and the wiki’s edition note. Ledger records add a scope: the platforms, region, edition and game version the statement covers. checked_on is the oldest check among those sources. A source check is not a Kingy gameplay test; the edition note says what Kingy has and has not played.

Evidence labels

  • Official: every cited source is a publisher or platform-holder statement.
  • Community-reported: at least one cited source is a walkthrough, creator or player report.

A label never rises above its weakest source. Where the evidence does not settle something, the statement says so rather than guessing.

What is left out

  • Unpublished, held, private and per-player pages.
  • Spoiler-marked records, spoiler guides and guides with hint, solution or reveal sections.
  • Pages carrying reader contributions, which are credited under CC BY-SA 4.0.
  • Full guide bodies, creator video clips, artwork and other media.
  • Verbatim source text (quotes, source titles and source locators), third-party playtime estimates and values a ledger records as unknown.
  • GTA VI, which publishes through its own export.

Spoilers and staged hints stay on the site, where each reader chooses what to reveal.
