About this guide
A reviewed demo excerpt explains the Board/tool example. September 23 Steam threads supply the Resurrection Table, mine-unlock, Albert quest and idle-worker steps. Official updates 1.005 and 1.006 confirm specific resurrection, zombie-craft and kitchen-production fixes. The additional short video is selected from its metadata and description only. A newly checked Reddit report adds miner/porter assignments and the output location, with a conflicting missing-blueprint reply. Kingy has not playtested the full release.

Production has customers and military uses
The official overview connects gathered resources and machinery to an expanding business. It also names crafted weapons and armour for zombie troops. These are two announced reasons to build production capacity, with Town businesses supplying additional markets.
Prepare your first zombie at the right table
In a September 23 Steam answer, players explain that “Prepare” refers to the buildable Resurrection Table, not the central device in the small room. Unlock and build that table, put the body on it, add resurrection liquid and a collar from your inventory or a nearby chest, then choose Prepare.
If the body will not go on the table, confirm which device you are using and that the table has been built. Update 1.005 says it fixed cases where zombies could not be resurrected despite meeting quest and item requirements, and fixed prepared-body state resetting when leaving and re-entering the morgue. Install the available update and report the version and steps if the problem continues; this does not prove every placement issue is fixed. A reply also says a basic bronze collar accepts no more than five red skulls; check the collar restriction shown in your game before changing organs or discarding a body.
Albert’s eight-red-skull zombie request
A player reports completing Albert’s request with a resurrected zombie showing eight red and five white skulls. That makes removing all white skulls unnecessary in this reported completion. Bring the prepared zombie to Albert; another player first tried to bring an eight-red-skull corpse, which did not count.
If the body is short of red skulls, players describe storing organs and swapping them before resurrection. One reply says Albert provides two collars that accept up to ten red skulls for this quest. Check those quest collars in your own inventory before trying the basic bronze collar, which another thread says stops at five red skulls. Exact organ values, collar limits and acceptance above eight red skulls still need a game-build check.
Unlock the iron and coal zombie mine
If the mine technology is learned but its zombie stations do not appear, clear the mine entrance and the obstacles in the connecting tunnels all the way to your basement. The question author reports that clearing the basement route unlocked the stations after the visible outdoor paths were already open.
This thread addresses the iron and coal mine station unlock. A second player still asked how to put zombies to work after unlocking the mine, and nobody answered that part. That older thread does not establish a quarry or digging recipe, station assignment sequence, or obstacle costs. A separate player report below supplies a possible assignment sequence.
Did moving a zombie erase its skill points?
An earlier tinyBuild support check listed unspent skill points resetting when a zombie moved between workstations. That entry is absent from the support list checked September 22. Its removal does not establish a fix, and support does not give a recovery procedure in the current list.
Factories still need working conditions
The May 20 diary places semi-automatic machinery in underground factories and says zombie operators need minimum working conditions. It does not list those conditions, machine capacities or conveyor routing rules. A shown factory therefore cannot establish a working layout you can reproduce.
Workers and troops
Zombie production workers and the zombie troops used in battle are separate systems. Players describe putting one worker at the crafting station and another at the Zombie Supplier Station to move inputs and output. Give the crafter the matching tool and enough mastery, and leave space in storage. A supplier cannot make an under-levelled worker craft or automatically run every furnace by itself.
Wasting’s 94-second video is a quick visual companion for workstations and the supplier station. Kingy checked its title and description but could not review the frames or captions, so the setup checks here rely on the linked Steam and Reddit discussions. The release-day Steam bug-report board also has a “Zombie Porter not working properly” report; a stopped porter is a report, not proof that your recipe needs another tool.

Chef zombie stuck under an hourglass
A Steam thread describes cooking zombies that stop after one batch or wait over berry pie while the supplier keeps moving ingredients. Update 1.006 says kitchen zombies no longer consume or burn ingredients without producing the dish, and fixes zombie placement at the cooking oven blocking the millstone. Those are specific patch claims; the note does not say every hourglass stall is fixed.
Check the worker’s mastery against the selected recipe, ingredients, fuel and whether a supplier can reach the station. If the queue still stalls after updating, avoid feeding it scarce ingredients. Save safely, record the station, recipe, platform and build, and report repeatable steps to tinyBuild.
Why is my zombie not crafting Board?
Open Board and compare its orange, hammer-shaped mastery requirement with the assigned worker. At 5:33, the recipe shows 1 and the worker has 0.
Open the worker’s Character tab and hand slot. At 6:13, Rusty Hammer adds +1 beside a red gear; orange remains 0. Equip Rusty Axe for this job: at 6:38, its tooltip adds +1 to orange and the worker’s matching stat reads 1. Match the category, not the icon’s shape.
Return to the station. Later frames show a changed queue indicator and a log carrier; the creator describes waiting for delivery. If yours stays idle, inspect supply. This excerpt does not verify a complete layout or production rate.

Selected native frames show the tool comparison; the delivery explanation also uses creator narration. Demo example, not a tested production rate.

After the mine opens: reported miner and porter setup
Reddit author isqbswe describes building a Zombie Porter Station and a Zombie Miner from the mine blueprint table after clearing the northward connection to the base under the house. Assign one zombie to each and equip the miner with a pickaxe. Open the porter station and check its resource selection; the author could choose Iron Ore, Coal or both.
The author reports output arriving at the automatic lifts south of the house. Check those containers after running the setup. This is one player’s written route with no identified build or platform. A reply still had no mine construction options despite opening the connecting path, so the route is not a guaranteed unlock or bug fix. No yield, operating cost or production interval has been verified.
October 6 update 1.009 — scoped follow-up
October 6 update 1.009 reports that sawmill, mine, clay-pit and sand-pit workers can resume after carrying back results. It also fixes gardeners stuck on broken harvests; they return to the station, leaving repeatedly failing harvests for the player. Caretakers can be picked up or inspected while out working. These reports do not establish universal automation uptime or a repaired chef hourglass stall.
Shipped fixes and planned helper changes
PC 1.008 reports fixes for firewood-holder stalls and farmers failing to produce. The October 2 development post separately plans helpers collecting output and restarting Kiln/Furnace crafts, farmers collecting Peat and restarting Compost Heaps, and increased conveyor gears. Those plans are not confirmed as shipped in 1.009; a stopped furnace is not proof that the planned helper behavior is available.
October 13 PC update 1.010
PC 1.010 increases gears produced by zombies with Belt Master and fixes a porter walking through factory walls. It gives no numerical gear yield or confirmation that every October 2 helper plan has shipped; check the current worker and station.
