Use the line as your tension meter
Hold or tap the reel input while the line stays out of the red. When it turns red, ease off briefly so the tension drops; start pulling again as the line lightens. Repeat rather than holding through a red warning. Release-day players describe both holding and tapping, so watch the line instead of copying a fixed rhythm. Use the control shown for your platform.
If the fish barely comes in
