October 13 PC update 1.010
PC 1.010 reports a consistent Battle Operation Potato Part I crash fix and fixes for being trapped after soldiers spawn and behind pottery in the sewer fight. These are specific publisher claims, not tested combat routes or repaired-save guarantees.
Confirmed combat pillars
The official page explicitly names towers, fortifications, weapons, armour, training, zombie troops, and battles to save the Kingdom.
Why can I not start a Town battle today?
The September 18 combat diary says Town battles are restricted to a particular weekday, while sewers offer combat on the other days. It does not name the day or publish the quest prerequisites, so this is a scheduling explanation rather than a complete unlock walkthrough.
What do Town battles ask me to do?
The combat diary gives two examples: defend against waves approaching the Town Square, or advance through central streets and capture control points. Squads can be positioned or led using their banner. These are announced objectives and controls; the source does not supply a tested army composition or console button layout.
Battle pages
Enemy pages will track attacks, defenses, weaknesses, drops, encounter locations, and strategies once those details are confirmed in-game.
What preparation is actually announced?
The developer names towers, fortifications, crafted weapons and armour, and trained zombie troops. This puts equipment production alongside defensive construction. It does not specify an army composition, damage model or a mandatory order for reclaiming districts.
PC patch changes to battles
Update 1.007 reports that zombies earn red Tech Points for winning fights. Update 1.008 prevents use of Fast Travel Points during battle, fixes the Panic debuff when the zombie cap is exceeded and increases Town Gratitude from wins. Exact rewards and cap thresholds are not published in these notes.
The October 2 Panic Reduction rework is a future plan. Do not treat the 1.008 debuff fix as confirmation that the whole planned rework shipped.
