WARDOGS FIELD MANUAL

Place and build your first FOB

Prepare the FOB, place its construction area, deposit supplies and finish a protected core.

Browse all WARDOGS topics

Carry a FOB to your chosen position, place it with a valid preview, deposit Build Supplies and use a suitable hammer to construct defenses. Leave a clear route to the terminal for resupply.

Before you start

  • A FOB item and enough inventory space to carry it.
  • A hammer suitable for the structures you intend to build.
  • Build Supplies and a teammate or route for further deliveries.

Budget for launch prices

The documented FOB vendor price is $7,500 and the Large Hammer vendor price is $2,400. The Large Hammer’s separate Support unlock is $75,000 at level 8. These costs have different purposes; purchasing one life’s hammer does not replace its unlock requirement.

Place the core

WBC’s beta tutorial shows white placement previews as valid and red previews as obstructed. It reports that a placed FOB cannot be moved.

  1. Equip the carried FOB and inspect the preview.
  2. Choose space for the terminal, protective walls and a delivery approach.
  3. Reposition any blocked preview before confirming placement.
  4. Open the placed FOB and check its resources.

Finish the first defenses

WBC shows F cycling hammer pages, right-click depositing carried supplies into the open FOB, and yellow X targets accelerating hammer construction. Its B snapping key is a personal binding, so use the action displayed in your own controls.

  1. Deposit Build Supplies, then equip the hammer.
  2. Select a structure your hammer supports and place its preview.
  3. Strike the yellow construction targets until the structure is complete.
  4. Protect the core while preserving friendly access to its terminal.

Plan access before expanding

StratzFPS demonstrates restricting entrances and watching the gate from a raised position. His warning is practical: an exposed terminal can be attacked or hacked.

For a first layout, mark three spaces before building outward: the protected core, the friendly entrance and the unloading area. This is our planning suggestion; exact coordinates and dimensions depend on your site.

Common problems

  • The FOB terminal’s infantry spawn function is unverified; do not rely on it as a respawn point.
  • A pallet or crate beside a base has not necessarily been transferred into its supply stock.
  • Starter contents, radius, ownership transitions and every placement restriction still need current-build reproduction.
