For a magazine-fed weapon, R changes magazines. To replenish one, open your inventory and combine compatible loose rounds with a partial or empty magazine. Allow time for the refill to finish.
Before you start
- A magazine that fits your weapon.
- Loose ammunition compatible with that magazine.
- A position where you can safely open inventory.
Refill an existing magazine
Clutchbase’s beta inventory screenshots show each magazine retaining its own round count. Swapping to another empty magazine will leave you empty.
- Move into cover and open inventory with Tab.
- Find the loose rounds and the magazine you want to replenish.
- Drag the ammunition onto that magazine. The documented refill proceeds one round at a time.
- Check the resulting count before returning to the fight.

Find the missing part
Work backward from the weapon: it needs a suitable magazine; that magazine needs suitable rounds; those rounds must still exist in your inventory. The vendor purchase and field refill are separate operations.
- Read the magazine’s capacity and current count.
- Compare the ammunition name with the magazine’s supported type.
- If you only have loose rounds, obtain a compatible magazine; loose rounds are not a replacement for the magazine item.

Common problems
- Reloading does not create new ammunition.
- A calibre match alone should not be used to infer every magazine or attachment relationship.
- The current refill rate, cancellation behavior and ammunition-mixing rules have not been measured here.
