Build an affordable kit at the HQ vendor, check that its magazines contain compatible ammunition, and travel with teammates to the active objective. Keep enough cash for another deployment.
Before you start
- Access to the HQ equipment vendor.
- A spending limit that leaves cash for another kit.
- A weapon, compatible loaded magazine, backpack space for spares, and medical supplies.
Check the complete purchase
The official starting balance is $10,000. Gear and vehicles are bought for each life. Before confirming, include ammunition, magazines and utilities in your budget.
- Choose the weapon in the vendor, then a compatible magazine and the ammunition for it.
- Fit the prepared magazine to the weapon. Make sure your backpack has space before adding spares.
- Review every item and its quantity. A cheap rifle can still produce an expensive kit when accessories accumulate.

Make a useful first deployment
Our suggested first objective is modest: arrive with your group, identify the current zone, and stay close enough to help or receive a revive. A transport ride is useful only if it reaches a place where you can contribute.
- Agree on the destination with your driver or pilot.
- On arrival, compare your position with the current objective on the map.
- Before pushing out, check your loaded ammunition and put medical equipment within easy reach.

After being downed or killed
TacticalNed’s pre-launch walkthrough distinguishes a revive from respawning: respawning requires another gear purchase. Check whether a teammate can reach you before giving up the life.
PC Gamer locates Re-buy Loadout at the vendor’s lower left. Its review screen lets you remove items before paying. Buy through this option first: the reported button disappears after a separate purchase.

Common problems
- A magazine icon does not prove the magazine is full.
- Do not treat a permanent unlock payment as the price of equipping the item.
- No complete current-build starter kit has been independently costed and played through by Kingy. Use displayed vendor totals before paying.
