WARDOGS FIELD MANUAL

Fortify a base beyond the first FOB

Layer entrances, supply flow and the core so the base keeps working under attack.

Define one friendly entrance, keep the supply route to the terminal open, protect the core and treat defensive layouts as a strategy to test rather than a guaranteed recipe.

Before you start

  • A supplied FOB core with at least one completed entrance.
  • The hammer tier that supports the walls and structures you plan.
  • A delivery route that stays usable after construction.

Define one controlled entrance

The base guide warns that an enemy reaching the core can hack it; the advanced demonstration shows restricting approaches. Prefer one defensible entrance over a perimeter with several gaps.

  1. Walk the approach as a friendly supplier.
  2. Block or angle secondary gaps that only attackers benefit from.
  3. Re-open any entrance the logistics route needs.

Keep the supply line to the core

FOB resources, vehicle repairs and the Drill’s fuel all arrive through the logistics path. Walls that block the pallet drop point stop the base from functioning even when nothing is under attack.

  1. Mark the pallet drop and vehicle service area before finalizing walls.
  2. Test one full delivery after each construction phase.
  3. Move the drop point before the walls follow.

Protect the objective, not the skyline

Advanced walls raise the visible target surface. Players describe destroying or capturing defended Drill FOBs; a base survives when its core, Drill and supplies survive, not when it looks imposing.

Treat the design as a test run

Pick a measurable result, such as one successful unload or one repelled push, and adjust the next phase by what failed. One strong base in a video is not a universal recipe.

    Common problems

    • An unused entrance is still an entrance.
    • Building for looks can bury the supply line.
    • Do not promise permanent security from one wall arrangement.
