The short answer
Jagex confirms the Scorned Wilderness structure and guaranteed Kuldra reward, while current-patch community walkthroughs report a three-phase Anima, pylon and cannon loop followed by a heart phase. This audit separates those reported mechanics from unresolved shot counts, stats and loot odds.
Before you start
- RuneScape: Dragonwilds 1.0 installed
- Regicide available in the quest menu
- A repaired combat kit with food, drinks and room for raid materials
- A pickaxe and logging axe if you intend to gather nodes during the raid
What the 1.0 endgame adds
Jagex splits Scorned Wilderness into The Hub, where players can build, and a Raid area where building is disabled because of Kuldra. Regicide is the named quest added for this region, and Kuldra is the new end-game boss.
That distinction changes how you pack a run: organise construction, storage and resupply in The Hub, then treat the raid area as an encounter space rather than a place to improvise a shelter.

Reach Kuldra through the extraction route
MetaForge’s September 16 walkthrough reports entering from the upper-left Fractured Plains approach, crossing the bridge and stairs, then using Commander Zilyana’s camp as a safe build and resupply area. Treat this as a current-patch route report, not a permanent map guarantee.
The route is organised around Anima pylons and extraction points. The same report says banked extraction progress is retained after death, while powered pylons since the last checkpoint may need to be repeated. Confirm the checkpoint state after a failed run before spending more consumables.
Use the timestamped community walkthrough below as a visual companion for the reported route and its chapter boundaries. It is metadata-checked footage, not an installed-build capture by Kingy, so it does not establish exact coordinates, yields, respawn timers or checkpoint persistence.
- Enter from the Fractured Plains approach and clear the first Anima-pylon section rather than trying to rush past every wave.
- Use Commander Zilyana’s camp for construction, healing and storage decisions. A Lodestone there is a practical reported setup, not an official requirement.
- At each puzzle, siphon the required elemental Anima, make an orb and power the pylon before moving towards the next extraction point.
- At the final four-pylon puzzle, power all four plates and enter the reported code: Air, Water, Earth, Fire.
- Repair and restock at the fourth extraction point before opening the gate to Kuldra.

Kuldra’s three-phase Anima loop
The current-patch walkthroughs agree on the core encounter pattern: defeat an elemental dragon, siphon its Anima, turn that into an orb, use the orb to power a cannon-linked pylon, then fire the Harmonic Resonator at Kuldra. Repeat the loop across three phases.
MetaForge reports two cannon shots per phase, while Whisper of the House reports a three-shot, 9,999-damage Resonator sequence. The official launch note does not publish either value, so this wiki records the interaction but not a hard shot count or damage number.
- Check which element the active pylon needs before choosing a dragon. The reported route warns that the dragon that spawns may not match the active pylon.
- Kill the matching elemental dragon, siphon its Anima and convert it into the orb needed by the pylon.
- Power the cannon-linked pylon, load the Resonator and fire at Kuldra. Expect to repeat the dragon-and-orb setup during the phase.
- Prioritise the main beam: the current-patch report describes it as lethal in one hit. After firing, use the cannon’s sphere as a reported damage-blocking recovery window.
- Between phases, fall back to Zilyana for healing and protection if the route is open, then repeat until all three phases are cleared.
Finish the heart phase
After the third cannon phase, the current walkthroughs report that the fight moves inside Kuldra to her heart. Heartworms appear between damage windows and poison circles surround the heart, turning the finish into a short add-control and positioning check.
MetaForge reports that melee lands harder on the heart and that speaking to Zilyana after the fight collects the Regicide rewards. Whisper describes an escape step, while MetaForge says the fight ends without requiring one; treat the escape requirement as unresolved until it is reproduced in the installed build.
- Enter Kuldra’s final form after the third phase and move to the heart.
- Kill the two Heartworms reported between heart damage windows before committing to the next attack cycle.
- Dodge the poison circles while damaging the heart; keep the arena clear enough to see the next Heartworm spawn.
- After the heart dies, check the quest state and speak to Zilyana to collect the reported Regicide rewards.
Kuldra reward and drop table
The official launch article establishes the guaranteed Kiteshield-and-Cape result and the existence of repeat Dragon rewards. It does not publish a complete loot table. The database percentages for the Kiteshield and Kuldra’s Wrath conflict with that evidence boundary, so this table preserves the conflict instead of presenting either percentage as fact.
| Reward or result | What the evidence supports | Rate or status |
|---|---|---|
| Dragon Kiteshield | Jagex says killing Kuldra ensures this drop; the current-patch reward report treats it as part of the Regicide reward. | Guaranteed in the official launch note. MetaForge currently lists 1%, so no percentage is published here. |
| Cape | Jagex says a Cape follows the kiteshield. The current-patch walkthrough calls it Dragonslayer’s Cape. | Guaranteed alongside the launch reward; the name is community-reported. |
| Regicide reward pack | MetaForge and All Things How report a pack from Commander Zilyana containing the shield, cape and a Queenslayer’s reward pack. | Community-reported result; inspect the live Journal for the exact pack contents. |
| Queenslayer’s reward pack | MetaForge reports a rare Kuldra-only item observed through this pack. | No official contents or odds published. |
| Dragon armour repeat pool | Jagex names repeat Scorned Wilderness adventures as the route for Dragon armour, including the Dragon Scimitar and Dragon Crossbow. | Repeat-run reward; selection rules and odds are unverified. |
| Kuldra’s Wrath | Jagex names the item; MetaForge’s item record identifies it as a Kuldra drop. | MetaForge lists 10%, but no primary confirmation was found. Treat the rate as unverified. |

Build the endgame chain in order
The Advanced Spinning Wheel is a separate 1.0 station: Jagex explicitly warns that items processed on the regular Spinning Wheel cannot be used in it. Keep the old thread route and the Vis chain as separate shopping lists.
- Smelt 3 Runite Ore and 3 Luminite Ore into 1 Rune Bar at the Blast Furnace.
- Grind Rune Essence and Dragon Tooth into their ground forms before using the Brewing Cauldron.
- Process 3 Disordent / Discordant Residue into 1 Harmonised Compound at the Kiln.
- Brew 3 Harmonised Compound, 3 Ground Rune Essence and 3 Ground Dragon Tooth into 1 Draconic Vis Wax.
- Use Vis Fibers and Draconic Vis Wax at the Loom for Vis Cloth; the checked sources do not establish the quantity.
- Use the planner card for Rune Platebody as a concrete T8 gear target, then verify its unlock and station in the live Journal.

What is verified—and what is still open
In this page, verified means supported by the official 1.0 release note or reproduced in a dated current-patch community record. Kingy has not personally play-tested the installed 1.0 build on this pass, so the route and encounter details are attributed reports rather than first-party observations.
The 2026-09-16 installed-build evidence pass could not start on this host because no Dragonwilds installation or local gameplay capture was available. It therefore promotes no exact coordinates, yields, respawn timers or route checkpoints as reproduced observations. The timestamped video above remains a third-party route companion until that pass can be repeated from a local build or replayable capture.
Do not copy a percentage for the Kiteshield or Kuldra’s Wrath, a phase threshold, a shot damage number, a party-scaling rule or a recipe quantity that is marked unresolved. The next useful audit is an installed-build run with the exact version, world settings, death state, loot result and Journal recipe screen recorded.
