The short answer
Version 1.0 is announced for September 15, 2026. As of this review, it is still upcoming. Update your health and movement habits now; treat the Abyssal Whip rework as an announced launch change.
Before you start
- Check the version shown by your game
- Keep old-build advice separate from launch notes
Already changed in Early Access
The survival and Agility guides cover the reworked systems. Read those before importing an old loadout or following a movement tutorial. This wiki uses 0.12.1 developer notes as its current baseline; it does not claim an installed-build playtest.

The announced Whip change matters to returning players
Jagex says the Masterwork Abyssal Whip moves to power level 7 at 1.0. Existing Abyssal Whips are to become the power-level-4 Abysmal Whip, without the special attack.
The Abysmal version remains useful to the later upgrade path; the Masterwork recipe moves to Umbral Sands. These are two different names. Check which item a guide means before following its build advice.

What gets checked at launch
Jagex describes 1.0 as the conclusion of Kuldra’s Saga and says development continues afterwards. That does not give us a tested raid walkthrough today.
Our launch review must confirm recipe inputs, travel costs, health items and quest gates against the released build. Until then, dated community recipes remain references, not a promise that no balance change is coming.
