The short answer
The Furnace needs 24 Stone, 8 Clay, 4 Charcoal, 10 Fire Runes and 8 Vault Shards. Bring copper and tin back from your mining trip, then check the Crucible upgrade for alloy processing.
Before you start
- Bone Pickaxe for copper and tin
- Access to Clay, Charcoal, Fire Runes and Vault Shards
Plan the ingredients that hold you up
| Material | Where to start |
|---|---|
| Clay | Whispering Swamp; prepare for the trip rather than searching beside your first camp. |
| Charcoal | Process wood in a Kiln. Keep smelting fuel separate from the four charcoal used to construct the Furnace. |
| Fire Runes | The earlier route uses Runecrafting level 13 at a Rune Altar, or goblin loot. Check your current skill tree. |
| Vault Shards | Explore Dragonkin Vaults. Shards and Cores are distinct items; the Furnace recipe uses Shards. |

Turn the station into a working metal chain
Discover copper or tin and inspect the build menu for the Furnace. Put down the station, check its fuel and ingredient slots, and inspect the nearby Crucible upgrade when you need alloy inputs.
The community database currently records 3 Copper Ore plus 3 Tin Ore yielding 2 Bronze Bars. This is a processing recipe; it does not include fuel consumption or the cost of stations. The shopping planner therefore does not claim to calculate a complete bronze equipment chain.
If nothing happens, check the station’s own requirements and status before gathering another bag of ore. Extra ore cannot fix a missing upgrade or an empty fuel slot.
