The short answer
Check the account, campaign entitlement and completed update first. Reforged 3.0.0 requires an online connection; Blizzard retains offline and LAN play through the separate Classic client.

Plan for online play
Offline mode and LAN are retained in the Classic client. That does not establish support for Forsaken Kingdom there. The expansion’s store requirements point to Reforged and an internet connection.
If your connection drops, check whether Battle.net itself is reachable before changing game settings. Record whether the failure occurs at login, campaign selection or after loading. That distinction is more useful to support than “the game is broken.”
Prepare a useful support report
Before removing files or reinstalling, keep a copy of important saves using your normal file backup process. Do not overwrite your only working save while testing a failure.
For support, include the error text, platform, client version, campaign and mission, and a short sequence that reproduces the problem. Remove account identifiers and personal information from anything you post publicly.
No universal save migration, mod compatibility or hardware performance fix has been verified for this launch edition.
