Rescue the Forsaken walkthrough: groups and Sylvanas turn-in

Sylvanas assigns travel to Capital City Ruins and finding and rescuing new Forsaken. At 11:08 the party reaches the named Elevator on a circular platform connected by wooden bridges. The 12:03 frame explicitly marks the travel objective complete on the surface. Anya warns that some people freed from the Scourge are unfriendly; the rescue counter then shows four groups.

1. Take Garek and Anya to the Elevator on the circular platform in the Undercity and use it to reach the surface ruins. Check the quest update on arrival: Travel to the Capital City Ruins should be marked completed.
2. Keep both heroes together while exploring the ruined streets. Read the Remaining Groups counter before moving on to the encounters below.
3. Check health, mana and supplies before engaging another group. Anya’s warning means you should be ready for a fight even when you have come to rescue someone.

At 16:55 the party reaches a group beside a round tiered fountain, with crates and barrels along the ruined house and a nearby campfire. Anya offers shelter in the Undercity and directs them to the sewers. Remaining Groups drops from four to three.

1. Compare the fountain square and minimap in the linked 16:55 frame with your explored streets. Approach the Forsaken group with the heroes and let Anya’s conversation finish.
2. Check for three groups remaining. The recorded party continues exploring after the handoff; this checkpoint does not require a manual escort back to Sylvanas.

The next encounter is beside another fountain, near a dark spiked structure with green domes. At 18:11 a Forsaken Survivor demands to feed and the counter already reads two. Combat follows; at 18:31 Garek describes the group as mindless husks.

The counter tracks groups found, including this encounter. A lower number does not mean every group has been sent safely to the Undercity.

1. Use the 18:11 checkpoint to identify the group and let the encounter unfold. If the survivors attack, fight with both heroes and watch their health.
2. After the encounter, check the counter and continue searching the ruins. Do not wait for the same shelter dialogue as the first group. Two groups remain in the recording.

At 36:31 a Barricade is labelled in front of the next group beside a fountain and piles of supplies. The heroes move around the fountain at 36:36–36:41. At 36:51 Anya tells the group it is safe and sends them toward the sewers. Remaining Groups now reads one. The long gap since the previous encounter includes exploration and combat; it is not a required waiting period.

1. Compare the fountain, surrounding ruined houses and minimap at 36:31–36:51 with your current area. Move close to the group around the fountain. If your heroes are still fighting nearby enemies, finish that encounter before continuing.
2. Let Anya’s safety dialogue finish, then check that one group remains. Continue through the streets toward the final encounter.

The 38:41 frame shows combat near the final group in a street between ruined houses. The group is beside supplies near a large ruined structure with tall stone columns. At 39:41 Bernd thanks the rescuers and Garek directs them to the sewers.

At 39:48 the game marks both original objectives completed and adds Return to Sylvanas. This is the clearest checkpoint for finishing the search.

1. Approach the remaining group, handle the nearby combat and allow the rescue conversation to finish. Compare the street and columned ruins in the linked frame if you are still searching.
2. Open the quest information or watch the update. Continue to the turn-in once Return to Sylvanas appears. You do not need to keep searching for groups after that update.

The party returns to the Undercity. At 41:13 Sylvanas acknowledges the new Forsaken and MAIN QUEST COMPLETED: Rescue the Forsaken appears.

1. Go back to Sylvanas in the Undercity and approach her with the heroes. Let the conversation finish.
2. Confirm the Rescue the Forsaken completion message before marking the guide done. Finding the last group and completing the quest are separate checkpoints.
