Can you play offline?
The Steam store now lists downloading levels for offline play. Jim Bonacci’s launch note also says offline support will keep improving, but neither source defines which menus, records or community actions work without a connection.
Download the levels you want before you leave a network, then test one with Steam offline mode. Do not assume the whole catalogue or every online feature will be available.
A useful first-session order
- Open the official game or the Steam client and start with a featured level. That gives you a known title and builder before you search the wider catalogue.
- Check the controls before trying a grab, jump or character ability. The primary action changes meaning when the rider ejects.
- If you already have a Total Jerkface account, establish that you can access it before connecting accounts.
- On Steam, use the achievement list to choose a specific target. Old YouTube completion footage can teach the level without proving a Steam achievement unlock.
Platforms and mobile distinctions
The launch store lists Windows and SteamOS + Linux requirements. A Linux listing alone does not establish Steam Deck Verified status. The separate mobile apps should not be treated as interchangeable with the full browser catalogue or these keyboard tutorials.
The accompanying Drayruns clip was uploaded before launch. Its announcement discussion is useful context; the dated official launch sources below take precedence over its predictions.
What Steam update v1.99.1 changed
The September 23 UTC hotfix added Escape as a pause key and F11 for fullscreen, reduced input latency, fixed input from non-standard controllers, corrected the Autopilot achievement and fixed a Linux Wayland startup crash. It also replaced the editor achievement for publishing a first level with a target of ten editor playtests.
The attempted Windows 11 duplicate-window fix was reverted after introducing a worse bug. The developer promises another fix in a future update; duplicate or ghost windows are not confirmed resolved in v1.99.1. The patch note links to a separate developer post for connection problems. Some UK internet providers block totaljerkface.com, according to that post; see the connection guide before treating a missing level as deleted.

- 0:33 · The existing level catalogue ↗
The catalogue is part of the feature discussion. To find a particular old upload, preserve its title and creator; a large catalogue alone does not identify a level.

Support is advertised, but this shot is not a device test or a controller-button map. Follow the support guide for the dated limits.
