How to find old and custom levels in Happy Wheels

Start with the level’s exact title and creator. Check the featured list first for established classics; use Browse Levels for community uploads. Steam also advertises a Select Date filter. A YouTube chapter name can describe an activity without being the level’s actual title.

Featured-level identities checked in the official browser game on September 21, 2026. Steam’s date filter is confirmed by its store description; cross-client deep links are not tested.

Example: find Happy Green Hills

  1. Open the official browser game and choose PLAY. This opens Featured Levels.
  2. Select Happy Green Hills. Confirm the creator reads Jim Bonacci and the playable-character field says any.
  3. Choose PLAY NOW!? and select an available racer. You have now identified the featured original rather than a similarly named user upload.
  4. For a different classic, compare both fields against the cards in our classic-level collection. Names such as BMX_Park II include punctuation that is easy to remember incorrectly.

Find a level from a creator video

  1. Pause at the start, pause menu or victory screen. Copy the title and builder exactly, including a version suffix.
  2. Open Browse Levels, or the user level browser button on the featured screen. Use the search controls available in that version.
  3. Try the exact title, then the creator. In Steam, use Select Date to narrow the search when you know the upload period.
  4. Compare the starting character, scenery and obstacle layout with the video. Matching a generic title such as Rope Swing is insufficient.
  5. If no exact match is established, keep the title as a search lead. Do not substitute a random copy and claim it is the creator’s level.

A real example of a misleading chapter label

GrayStillPlays’ July 2024 episode has a chapter called Bottle Champ at 2:04. The victory screen around 2:33 identifies the stage as Bottle run pro V3 by egyptianguy333. Searching the chapter label would send you in the wrong direction.

The same episode shows Amazing Marble Race with an on-screen credit to shaggy22. Its marble machinery is recognizable, but that still does not establish a current Steam level ID.

Using level links and IDs

Use an exact official level link when a builder provides one. The browser menu also exposes LOAD LEVEL/REPLAY. Preserve the complete link or identifier as supplied; do not guess missing digits.

This edition has not verified that a browser level URL opens the same stage directly inside Steam. When that fails, use the title-and-creator lookup instead. If the catalogue fails to load, retry later before concluding that the old level was deleted: the launch announcement specifically warned about database demand.
