Build a camp that supports the next trip

1. Gather Ash Logs and Stone. The table costs 4 Ash Logs; a Campfire costs another 4 Ash Logs and 4 Stone. Reserve additional logs for fuel and shelter.
2. Use the Crafting Table for starting equipment. At the Campfire, process food and dirty water before leaving. Check the output instead of taking raw supplies into a fight.
3. Pick up Flax when you find it. A Spinning Wheel opens the thread supply used by later stations.

Choose one achievable upgrade

Our suggested first crafting target is the Bone Pickaxe: it gives the next gathering trip a purpose. Its leather requirement takes you through tanning rather than straight into a dangerous ore hunt.

For camp placement, favour a route you can recognise, room for processing stations, and a short return from gathering. This is a planning recommendation, not a claim that one coordinate is best for every world.

Leave yourself a way out

Attacking, blocking and dodging compete for stamina. Practise a short attack, then a retreat, before taking on a group. Turn back when equipment or food stops being sufficient for another encounter.

Treat the first expedition as reconnaissance: note the obstacle, resource or missing tool that stopped you, return, and prepare specifically for it.
