How to prepare for a boss
A build-agnostic preparation method: learn the moveset, test the counters, manage resources and keep evidence honest.
With no verified boss records yet, this page teaches the preparation method the wiki will use for every boss after launch — and that you can apply to any difficult fight from day one.
Prepare the fight, not the build
Editorial guidanceVerified boss data is zero, so any 'bring weapon X' advice you find pre-launch is speculative. What you can always prepare is process:
- Learn phase by phase: in your first attempts, attack nothing. Learn the moveset as a sequence of reads — every official boss sighting shows heavy telegraphs.
- Test one defensive answer per death: deflect, dodge, or counter, one at a time, until each move in the pattern has an assigned answer.
- Only after the reads feel passive should you optimize damage (weapon slots, phantom usage, consumable loadout).
The prep checklist
Editorial guidanceThe boss preparation planner on this wiki structures the general checklist: context (who, where, phase count — verified only when evidenced), defense answers, offensive answers, consumable stock, and a trial log with version numbers. It stays useful even while every boss-specific value remains unverified.
How boss facts will be published
Editorial guidanceAfter launch, each boss gains a record with observed mechanics separated from recommended strategy, each bearing a build version and method. Until a record shows that revision history, treat any 'boss strategy' as unverified — including anything written before October 29.
