Check the setup before throwing
- Is the rider already detached? If so, Eject is unnecessary.
- Can the hands physically reach the sword? Grabbing is a contact action, not a remote pickup.
- Does the level give its own control instructions? Read those before applying a generic technique.
- Is the intended target visible? A decorative sword scene and a functioning throwing challenge can look similar.
Use one controlled attempt
- Bring a hand into contact with the sword while holding Primary action. Space is the browser default.
- Confirm that the sword moves with the hand. If it remains on its support, you have not established a grip.
- Use the body-pose directions to change the arm and torso position. Start with a small motion so you can see how that particular setup responds.
- Release Primary action during the swing to let go. Watch the sword’s orientation as well as its direction.
- Repeat from the same starting pose. Change the release point first, then adjust the motion if necessary.
Diagnose the result
| Result | Likely thing to check |
|---|---|
| Sword stays behind | Hand contact and grab binding. |
| Sword moves but never leaves | The grab action may still be held. |
| Sword tumbles into the floor | Starting angle, clearance and release point. |
| Target is hit but Excalibur does not unlock | The wording specifies the head and a thrown sword; this guide has not verified other registration conditions. |
Keep the achievement claim precise
The official list gives a clear outcome, but it does not supply a universal level, a required character or a frame-perfect input sequence. Avoid treating a random “easy achievement” upload as a guaranteed solution.
Use this page to understand the controls, then judge a named challenge by its own geometry. If you are testing Excalibur, record the exact level, character, impact and Steam achievement state so you can distinguish a visible hit from a recorded unlock.
