A practical order for the checklist
- Play several levels and learn restarting, leaning and the primary action. Cumulative play, death and distance milestones can progress during ordinary practice.
- Try the community actions individually: rate a level, save a replay and favourite levels. Read each count rather than assuming one action completes the whole group.
- Choose one racer for the three-featured-level requirement. A custom user level is not automatically a featured level.
- Move to named challenges such as Express Delivery after you know the course. Use the victory timer, not the length of an edited video.
- Leave record achievements until you can inspect the leaderboard and submission result. A personal best and an overall level record are different targets.
Requirements that are easy to misread
- Express Delivery requires Happy Green Hills in less than 10 seconds. Exactly 10 seconds is not below the threshold.
- Teacher requires saving a replay of a victory on a level you created. Merely opening or saving an editor draft is insufficient.
- Steam update v1.99.1 replaced the first-publication target for Mistake Of a Lifetime Award with “Complete 10 Editor Playtests.” The patch note does not say whether those playtests must use different levels.
- Purpose Fulfilled names all winnable featured levels. It does not say to finish every user-created level.
- SpeedRunner, Hostile Takeover and Elitist all include the requirement for at least ten competitors.
