The eleven racer types
| Racer | Vehicle / setup | Useful distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Wheelchair Guy | Rocket-equipped wheelchair | Thrust changes an airborne route; the historical Green Hills clip uses this racer. |
| Segway Guy | Self-balancing personal transporter | A familiar rider in throwing and rope challenges; body control matters after ejection. |
| Irresponsible Dad | Bicycle with a child passenger | Forced by BMX_Park II; bicycle balance is also central to bottle runs. |
| Effective Shopper | Motorized shopping cart | The cart has its own jump; Power Move names ejecting and reconnecting to it. |
| Moped Couple | Moped with two riders | Passenger state matters to some achievements; treat the pair separately from the bicycle family. |
| Lawnmower Man | Ride-on lawnmower | Forced by The Combine 2.1; mowing has its own achievement tasks. |
| Explorer Guy | Mine cart | Legacy abilities include attaching to suitable rails, leaning out and crouching. |
| Santa Claus | Sleigh pulled by elves | Elf-related achievements refer to this setup. |
| Pogostick Man | Pogo stick | A charged bounce changes height; Lonely at the Top requires ten metres. |
| Irresponsible Mom | Bicycle with children | A separate racer from Irresponsible Dad; do not merge their featured-level tasks. |
| Helicopter Guy | Small helicopter with a magnet | Autopilot names carrying yourself with your own magnet. |
A few legacy ability examples
| Racer | Browser action | Application |
|---|---|---|
| Wheelchair Guy | Primary action: rocket thrust | Use a known open area when learning it. |
| Effective Shopper | Primary action: jump | Different vehicle size and landing behavior from the bicycle. |
| Moped Couple | Primary action: boost; secondary actions affect passenger/braking | Read your own mappings before using a controller. |
| Pogostick Man | Hold and release Primary action for a charged bounce | Charge and body angle both matter. |
| Explorer Guy | Primary action interacts with suitable rails | The level must provide the corresponding geometry. |
Choose for the level, then practise the ability
- Read the level’s allowed-character field. A forced racer overrides your preference.
- If any racer is allowed, choose one you can control consistently before attempting a speed route.
- Test the primary action separately from movement, then combine them.
- After ejecting, switch your attention to hands, body pose and contact points. A vehicle ability is no longer the relevant action.
- For the three-featured-level achievements, use the racer named by that achievement and confirm that each chosen level is featured.
Names and community nicknames
Community videos often give riders nicknames. This reference uses the racer labels found in the achievement list so that a guide, level restriction and achievement can be matched without guessing.
There is no universal best character. A rocket shortcut, forced bicycle course and rope challenge ask for different tools. The reviewed videos show particular solutions rather than a tier list.
