Read the board before copying the throw
The episode opens on a bottle challenge with a pink background and labelled landing targets. Target spacing and the rider’s starting pose determine what counts as a useful throw. A different bottle-flip upload may use a different height, distance or scoring setup.
A viewer highlighted the catch around 1:40. Use the original video to see that moment in context. It does not show that the same catch is necessary, easy or consistently reproducible.
Separate three parts of the attempt
- Grip: make hand contact with the bottle while holding Primary action. Confirm the bottle follows the hand.
- Arc: move the body from a consistent starting pose. Observe the bottle’s position and rotation while it is still held.
- Release: let go at one deliberate point, then watch the result without changing the next attempt immediately.
- Landing: distinguish missing the platform from reaching it with the wrong orientation. Those are different problems.
- Repeat from the same setup. Change either the motion or the release point, not both, so the result teaches you something.
What a miss can tell you
| Observed result | Next comparison |
|---|---|
| Bottle falls beside the hand | Was a grip established before the release? |
| Bottle passes the target | Compare the release position and the arc’s direction. |
| Bottle reaches the target sideways | Compare rotation and contact angle, not just distance. |
| Bottle lands then falls | Look at remaining motion and the available landing surface. |
Finding a suitable practice board
Choose a board with a visible starting bottle, a nearby target and readable instructions. Search results called Bottle Flip are not automatically the stage in the episode; use a title screen or builder credit to establish that.
This page deliberately teaches observation rather than supplying an invented level ID or a supposed magic number of seconds. For riding across bottles, use the separate bottle-run guide.
