Before you start
- Reach The Courtyard during Black Knight's Fortress.
- Bring power-level-appropriate armour, healing, a crush weapon and a water option for the lesser blue dragon on the Menagerie route.
1. Take Vannaka's contracts
- Find Vannaka by the tent in front of The Library, just beyond The Courtyard. Ask about all three targets and accept Wanted!.
- The targets can be handled in any order. The journals are placed in their arenas; killing the named enemy alone does not finish the objective.
2. Rat Master Skrexis · The Menagerie
- Cross The Library toward The Menagerie, dealing with the lesser blue dragon at its entrance.
- Follow the lower path to the ledge, defeat Skrexis and his hellrats, then take the journal from the rock behind his position, left of the statue.
3. Hound Master Rexiton · The Garrison
- Descend into the forward Garrison building's lower floors. Rexiton and his hellhound pack fight together, so heal before entering.
- After the fight, collect the journal from the table in the central kennel.
4. Summoner Flament · Cathedral crypts
- Go south to The Cathedral and descend into the crypts near The Lake nodestone.
- Defeat Lester Flament and Delrom. Take Flament's journal from the plinth against the back wall, beneath the demon gargoyle.
5. Return all three journals
- Check that all three journal objectives are marked complete, then return to Vannaka at The Library tent.
- Finish his dialogue to receive the corroded jewellery vestige, a component for the unholy symbol.
