Copper and Tin: your first Fractured Plains ore run

Follow the northern exit from Whispering Swamp

1. Use Whispering Swamp as the approach and continue north into the Fractured Plains. This is a harder region than the starting valley; mining-tool access does not make its fights easy.
2. Look for large ore rocks. Reported Copper nodes have orange areas on grey stone; Tin has yellow-green patches. Check the gathered item name to confirm which you have.
3. Gather both types before turning back. Our recommendation for a first run is one small batch rather than filling every slot with the first ore you see.

Choose a useful ore target

These are calculated ingredient totals from the recorded 3 + 3 → 2 recipe. They exclude fuel and the stations needed to process the ore. For a five-bar tool, three batches produce six bars, leaving one spare.

If the Furnace exposes only one processing slot, check the nearby Crucible upgrade before assuming the alloy recipe is missing. Use the live recipe if a later patch changes either the station or its yield.

Use bronze to prepare the iron trip

The Bronze Pickaxe recipe requires five Bronze Bars, four Oak Logs and two Leather. Plan the Oak and leather supply as well as the metal. Return and make the tool before attempting Iron Ore in the Stormtouched Highlands.

For repeat runs, a small outpost near the Plains approach reduces the journey through earlier regions. Choose it after scouting the immediate enemies; this is a planning suggestion, not a guaranteed safe location.
