Prepare at home
Pack for the Elder expedition
Fine wood is shared by your bow, portals, and boat. Combine the costs here, then separate what you craft at home from what you carry ashore.
Start with the preparation guide for food, armor, gathering, and crafting instructions. The default 200 fire arrows are a planning recommendation for one player, not a guaranteed kill budget.

10 arrow batches → 200 fire arrows.
Convert the listed bronze into 80 bronze nails at home for the karve.
Totals use finished materials, including smelted bronze. Food, armor, offering seeds, spare gear, station upgrades, fuel, and camp construction are additional. Existing loose materials are not deducted. The bow selection starts from no bow, not an existing quality-1 bow.Keep the landing kit in your own inventory
For one new remote portal and its workbench, carry 20 fine wood, 10 greydwarf eye, 2 surtling core, 10 wood. The portal materials are already included above when you select a new endpoint; the workbench wood is additional. This is a destination kit, not a third portal to add to a new pair.
Make sure the home endpoint is built and tagged before leaving. Craft the bow, arrows, and boat parts at home; carry the remote endpoint materials yourself so they leave the boat with you. Bring separate wood and stone for shelter, fire, and repairs to the camp layout.
Follow the expedition and return plan to place the camp, test both portal directions, and protect your recovery route.
