The short answer
No class has a verified record in this edition — the class roster is an open question, not a fact. The page you are reading defines the record contract (name, role, weapon, faction, playstyle, status) and the review rules, so that when official class pages are verified, the comparison tool fills with real data instead of guesswork.

How to think about roles without a roster
MMO class choices usually reduce to a small set of questions: how do I want to contribute (damage, support, control, survivability), do I prefer ranged or melee, and how complex do I want the rotation. Between factions and classes, AION 2 will answer those questions for you only when the records exist.
Use the class comparison tool: it compares whatever verified records the wiki holds and shows the unresolved cells honestly.

When class records arrive, each row will carry a source and a status: official role text stays labeled Officially announced; anything Kingy infers from it is labeled Inferred and is visually distinct.
This separation is the whole point of the wiki: you can always tell what the developer said from what an editor concluded.

Troubleshooting: “which class should I play?”
The honest answer in this edition: we do not know enough to compare classes yet. When the roster is verified, the class comparison tool answers it with parameter choices you control.
If you played a class in a test or at launch, submit an Observed note (platform, build, date) — it will be filed as Observed, never silently upgraded to Confirmed.
