- Enter Umbral Sands and reach Alcarrid Camp.
- Bring a safe way to cross exposed ground and climb to high places.
1. Start at Alcarrid Camp
- Speak to Anamcara beside the camp pond. Check the map for the three nearby Moon Sprite markers before setting out.
- Keep the quest active while surveying. The in-game journal records three discoveries, so mark each one after you interact rather than after merely reaching a high point.
2. Survey the three marked heights
Public text sources confirm the count and camp hand-in but do not identify three stable landmark names or coordinates. Use the live quest map or the linked quest-marker map rather than an unsourced coordinate list.
- Use the three quest markers near Alcarrid Camp as your route. Climb to the Moon Sprite at each tall location and interact with it.
- If a marker seems below you, check the upper ledge or summit; the objective is the sprite itself, not just arrival within the marker circle.
- After the journal shows three of three, return to Anamcara.
3. Claim the cape and second survey
- Finish Anamcara's dialogue and check for the Blue desert cape. Mapping the Sands II follows this hand-in.
