How WoW Forever Invite-A-Friend codes work

Eligibility, code delivery, redemption limits and missing-code checks.

QUICK ANSWER

An eligible Invite-A-Friend code grants Forever-only access November 4–11, 2026. It does not include Skyborne, its starting quests or other versions of WoW. Heroic supplies one code; Epic and Warcraft Forever Collection supply three total. Gift orders do not qualify.

Check the recipient before sharing a code #

A later redemption does not start a fresh week of access. Blizzard gives a fixed November 11 end date. Choose the recipient’s intended account before redeeming: Support says it cannot fix a code claimed on the wrong account.

  • The code is redeemable on one WoW account. It cannot be redeemed on an account that purchased a Forever upgrade.
  • Access is limited to Forever during November 4–11. A code is not game time and does not unlock other WoW versions.
  • Skyborne and its starting-zone quests are excluded.
  • Codes must be redeemed by November 11; later redemption returns an error.

How many codes are included? #

Gift orders are excluded. Refunding or charging back the qualifying order deactivates its codes. These totals describe eligible digital purchases, not a reason to buy another edition.

The physical Collector’s Edition has separate rules: Blizzard Support lists three codes from Blizzard Gear Store purchases, supplied by Legends to the purchase email. It excludes local-retailer Collector’s Editions in Korea, Australia and New Zealand. Consult the support article before relying on physical-edition eligibility.

Receive and redeem the code #

  1. The buyer checks the registered Battle.net email beginning October 20. Digital purchases send one email per code; eligible purchases after October 20 receive them shortly after purchase.
  2. The buyer shares an unused code with an eligible friend through their own chosen channel.
  3. The friend signs in to the intended Battle.net account and chooses the intended WoW account before redemption.
  4. Redeem through Battle.net or the Battle.net app by November 11. Blizzard’s support article links the official account page.
  5. Plan around the fixed November 4–11 access window. Continuing afterward requires the normal subscription or game-time access.

If a code is missing or fails #

Do not buy a second pack just to troubleshoot a missing email. Follow the support article’s order and email checks first. An active WoW subscription already grants base Forever access at launch.
