CLASS HANDBOOK · Official announcement

Hunter in WoW Forever

The confirmed Skyborne Hunter options and what they mean for your first character.

QUICK ANSWER

Skyborne Hunters are confirmed for both Alliance and Horde. Their announced starting experience is Zephras Isle, covering levels 1–12. A Forever pet guide or leveling build still needs verified class data.

A new Hunter starting choice #

Hunter is one of the four classes shared by both Skyborne factions. Choose High Order to play Alliance or Windshaper to play Horde. The faction decision happens at character creation.

Zephras Isle is the race’s announced level 1–12 starting area. That is useful for planning a first session together, but the announcement does not give Hunter pet availability, taming requirements or a quest order for the island.

What the class announcement establishes #

Blizzard promises revamps to every class and specialization in Forever. The sources reviewed here do not yet describe a Hunter-specific talent tree or pet system. Existing Classic pet rankings, weapon priorities and leveling builds therefore cannot establish the best choice for Forever.

For now, choose a Hunter character around the race and faction you want to play. Treat pet selection and combat setup as separate decisions once the playable class details are available.

Check access before choosing Skyborne #

The Skyborne unlock is a pack benefit, separate from ordinary game access. If you already have an active subscription, check the edition comparison before deciding whether the new race is worth an additional purchase. The class directory does not assume that a pack is required to play Hunter itself.
