Town restoration: what to plan for

The Town is restored district by district. After reclaiming an area, players can choose buildings and businesses that affect the settlement, unlock products and resources, and create new markets for the goods they produce.

October 13 PC update 1.010

PC 1.010 announces population-based order slots up to five; the villager thresholds are not supplied. The existing district/business planning below does not establish a fastest restoration route.

SECTION 02

The restoration loop

Reclaim a district, restore its infrastructure, choose from available buildings or businesses, and use the resulting markets and resources to fund the next stage of the operation.

Choices have consequences

The developer says restoration choices affect the Town itself and unlock valuable products and resources to buy. The wiki will record each option as an economic and progression decision, not a decorative checklist.

Connection to the graveyard

As the Town grows and becomes better supplied, the developer says the Keeper receives better corpses with more skulls. Exact corpse quality rules and thresholds require in-game testing.
