October 6 update 1.009 — scoped follow-up
October 6 update 1.009 reports a fix for the pre-order Sauna bonus permanently reducing food energy after its buff expired, including existing saves. This addresses the energy penalty; it does not establish a fix for missing console bonus entitlement or guarantee that a Sauna appears in a particular save.
Release and platforms
The official storefronts cover PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Steam lists a September 22, 2026 release, single-player support, achievements, Steam Cloud, and eleven supported languages.
The bonus items
The sauna and platform-specific outfit were bonuses for official-store pre-orders before launch. The September 22 launch has passed, so this is help for eligible owners rather than an open pre-order offer. tinyBuild says it cannot grant the items manually; the continued Nintendo DLC listing is not evidence that a new purchase qualifies.
Find and use the bonus items
The developer FAQ says the sauna is left of your base across the bridge; repair that bridge through normal progression before expecting to reach it. For the outfit, unlock the Suit Up! technology, build a Dresser inside the home and interact with it to change clothes. The bonus was exclusive to official storefront pre-orders; support says it cannot grant the items manually.
Missing bonus content in an existing save
On Steam, install the September 22 launch hotfix and check your existing save. The developer says it fixed cases where pre-order items did not appear. On consoles, first confirm the pre-order DLC is installed, then re-import the demo save and relaunch the full game as tinyBuild directs. A console patch is still in progress. Keep a backup where possible, and report the platform, version and affected items if the bonus remains missing.
What still needs checking
Check current price and availability on the relevant storefront. The Steam hotfix does not establish identical delivery on every platform or mean the console issue has been fixed.
