The short answer
Craft a Standard Air Tank with 2 Titanium, 1 Rubber and 2 Silver. Carry an Air Bladder for emergency oxygen or ascent, and learn its controls before a deep trip.

- Oxygen support does not remove vehicle crush-depth limits.

Use oxygen points deliberately
Oxygen Tunics release bubbles. Bloom Sap can block oxygen funnels; cut the blockage with the Multitool. At the Welcome Center, a Basic Battery powers access to the Biolab, where Oxygen Control reduces consumption while still.
For the High Capacity Air Tank, find its recipe card in the deeper southwest colony ruin, scan the Processor there and collect Lithium. The upgrade combines a Standard Air Tank with a Plasteel Ingot; make that ingot from 2 Titanium and 1 Lithium. Build the required base facilities first.
