Your first hour: tools, oxygen and a useful return trip

Choose one row that matches your equipment and give the trip that single objective. Leave food, water, healing and spare-charge decisions separate from the three-item starter calculator: its completed shopping list does not mean the whole dive is prepared.

After returning, update the starter calculator with remaining equipment and actual stock, then save the kit on this device. Use the field-guide milestones for long-term progress; a saved shopping list is only the next trip.

1. Make your Survival Multitool, prepare Water from Water Slugs, and keep a Nutrient Block until Digestion is unlocked.
2. Follow Anita’s signal to the Angel Comb for Digestion; return to cook a meal and make a Basic First Aid Kit.
3. Gather for the Scanner; use it before searching for equipment fragments.
4. Add an Air Bladder and Standard Air Tank as materials become available.
5. Visit the Welcome Center, then build a powered base with room to expand.
6. Use the full Fabricator and Processor for later tools.

Kingy’s suggested trip plan: pick one target, identify the return direction and leave inventory space for it. Return when that goal is complete or your oxygen reserve requires it. The wiki does not assign a universal safe dive time: equipment, depth and detours change it.

The starter-kit calculator combines three early recipes. It excludes food, water, the Multitool and spare batteries, so treat its output as a shopping list for the selected equipment.
