The short answer
Buddy System adds proximity voice chat, direct item sharing and revival. Check everyone’s installed branch before diagnosing a connection or save problem.
Before you start
- This guide covers the current Early Access 1.2 behaviour.
- Never replace a working save with an older branch copy as a troubleshooting shortcut.
What your group can use
Voice chat supports cross-platform proximity audio, push-to-talk and an off option. A revival preserves the downed player’s equipment and restores a little oxygen; reprinting returns them to the assigned Biobed. Tracking Tags help recover portable lockers and black boxes.
