The short answer

A Logging Camp supplies logs; a Carpenters' Guild turns them into Carpentry Points for construction and maintenance. The developer's FAQ describes a parallel stone-and-Masons' Guild chain for Masonry Points. Free Construction Points are a separate starting allowance.

Before you start

  • Use settlements in the same region, with their yellow market squares connected by roads. Cross-region heavy goods need separate river-trade setup.
  • Based on the developer's demo instructions. The revised display is announced for the coming demo; Kingy has not tested it.

Establish the construction supply

The FAQ separates generated points from free points and says the free allowance slowly replenishes. Waiting for that allowance does not verify that your guild chain works.

Logs supply carpentry or wooden chests; equipment fulfillment opens a building slot. Connect market squares by road.

  1. Inspect the region containing the settlement you want to develop.
  2. Provide logs through a Logging Camp and add a Carpenters' Guild.
  3. Connect the settlements' yellow market squares with roads and check that the guild receives its logs.
  4. Select the guild settlement and inspect its Production tab for Carpentry Points.
  5. For Masonry Points, check the Masons' Guild and its stone supply.

Read the revised display when it becomes available

The September construction update puts all point types in the top-right bar. Its tooltip is intended to show the chain, regional producers and stored construction materials; a depleted type receives a warning. The developer says this improves the explanation without changing the underlying mechanic.

Check the relevant point type and its material supply before adding another construction demand. Success means the expected producer appears and the needed points are available. If your interface differs, record your build before following instructions for the revised UI.

When maintenance keeps falling

The developer FAQ recommends increasing the Carpenters' Guild settlement's efficiency with more meals, or adding another guild to share the work. Kingy's suggested check is to confirm the existing guild has its required inputs before expanding it; a second starved producer will not establish a working supply chain.

No tested guild-to-building ratio is available here. Save the affected settlement, point type and missing input in County notes, then follow the shortage guide.
