The short answer
At the Lifepod Fabricator, make a Scanner from 2 Titanium, 2 Quartz and 1 Basic Battery. That battery needs 2 Copper and 1 Acidic Raion Pouch.
Before you start
- A Survival Multitool is needed to cut the pouch.
- These are Subnautica 2 recipes.
Gather the raw materials

Prepare before a fragment trip
Craft the battery before the Scanner. Watch the charge bar and carry a spare charged battery on longer trips. On the default keyboard binding, R opens the tool’s recharge controls.
Scan each equipment fragment fully and check blueprint progress. Since Buddy System, acid sources appear as green dots on the Scanner HUD.
