Michael’s published multiplayer objective is to eliminate living residents; each match also begins with Special Targets that offer greater rewards if killed before time expires. This guide helps you read that stated objective without inventing values.

Read the target and objective information before committing to a route. A pursuit can be useful, but it is not automatically the same thing as the published resident-and-target objective. Re-check nearby residents and escape activity when the match state changes.

Need to read the scene? Official guidance describes Killer Sense as a first-person stalking tool that helps Michael become aware of surroundings and potential prey.

Need to reposition unseen? Shape Jump is described as a mobility tool. IllFonic’s published condition is that Michael can enter or exit it only in darkness or outside a resident’s line of sight.

Need a next decision? Choose the action that advances the visible objective with the clearest information. Exact movement, cooldown, damage, and tracking values are not published here.

The Day One Patch changed repeated blinding, Detection Pulse, Stalk Markers, and low-level Stalk grab struggles. It did not publish numerical tuning, so strategy claims beyond the stated change remain unverified.

If you are learning the other side, use Playing Civilians. For dated changes, use the Patch Index.

  1. Read your visible objective and targets before choosing a pursuit.
  2. If attempting Shape Jump, check the published darkness or line-of-sight condition first.
  3. When a chase leaves the objective area, reassess resident and escape activity.
  4. Treat a failed ability attempt as a question to investigate, not proof of an undocumented cooldown.

A common mistake is transferring values from an older build. The patch index records developer-reported changes; it does not substitute for a controlled playtest.
