Confirming a pickup

The reported confirmation signals are a Pick Up Tape prompt, the named recording appearing in the chapter flow, and the Graveyard Menu’s collectible count. The same report associates all 14 pickups with the Collector trophy. These are community observations; check the in-game menu before treating the counter as complete.

Safer collection routine

  1. Run Story Mode with one chapter goal at a time.
  2. In the Prologue, collect both tapes before crossing the gate.
  3. In optional houses, clear or cut power as needed and collect before finishing the target objective.
  4. In Chapter 4, check the timing-dependent rooms while Annie and Laurie are still available.
  5. After every pickup, note the exact name, chapter counter, patch, and platform.
  6. If a tape does not appear, repeat the smallest route change before assuming the location moved.

What still needs testing

  • Whether all 14 reported locations remain correct on current 1.0.2 builds
  • Whether locations or timing windows differ by platform
  • Whether a restart, continue, or chapter replay preserves the collectible count
  • Whether the Prologue gate and Chapter 4 timing warnings are reproducible
  • Whether the Collector trophy requires one run, a persistent counter, or only all pickups
