Before you start
- A working Mead ketill, covered Fermenter and storage at a defended base.
- Medium stamina ingredients become accessible in the Plains. Major healing and the first eitr/lingering-stamina supplies require Mistlands exploration; lingering healing/eitr also need Ashlands forage.
- A repeatable food supply and a safe return route. Mead does not replace food, Rested status, resistance preparation or a spare equipment kit.
Choose restoration or regeneration before departure
Recommendation for an unfamiliar fight: retain access to a healing drink rather than starting with Lingering healing. Blood magic spends health, and a gradual regeneration bonus is a different tool from a healing drink. Neither makes it safe to keep taking hits while waiting for health.
Choose the stamina and eitr plans separately. A lingering effect in one category does not block a drink from a different category. A higher-tier healing drink does not bypass a healing cooldown. Watch the active status timers before planning a second dose.
Eitr mead restores the resource inside your food-supported capacity; eat eitr food first. Lingering stamina is not permission to sprint or attack forever: the buff can remain active while an action prevents normal regeneration.
| Resource | Restoration option | Lingering alternative |
|---|---|---|
| Health | Major healing: 125 health over 10 seconds. Healing meads then share a two-minute cooldown. | Lingering healing: +25% health regeneration for five minutes; no other healing mead during that effect. |
| Stamina | Medium stamina: 160 stamina over two seconds. Stamina meads then share a two-minute cooldown. | Lingering stamina: +25% stamina regeneration for five minutes; no other stamina mead during that effect. |
| Eitr | Minor eitr: 125 eitr over 10 seconds. Eitr meads then share a two-minute cooldown. | Lingering eitr: +25% eitr regeneration for five minutes; no other eitr mead during that effect. |

Give each ingredient a repeatable collection route
Royal jelly piles in current mines replenish, but piles harvested in very old versions before 0.213.4 can remain gone. If an old mine never replenishes, find another mine rather than assuming all jelly is a finite resource. Keep some jelly for eitr meals instead of converting every pile into healing supplies.
- Collect honey regularly from home beehives. If you have none, recover a Queen bee from a wild hive in an abandoned building and use the Beehive recipe. Place home hives where the bees report that they are happy.
- Gather Cloudberries on a cleared Plains route and Yellow mushrooms in explored Black Forest burial chambers or troll caves. Clear threats before collecting; keep the berry and mushroom locations marked for later visits.
- Save Blood clots from Mistlands Ticks and Royal jelly from Infested Mine floor piles and Seeker broods. Use the mine clearing and recovery route; a cleared mine can contain enemies again on a later visit. Bloodbags from Swamp leeches cannot substitute for Blood clots.
- Use the Sap extractor and mushroom supply route. Reserve raw Sap before feeding the refinery; Refined eitr cannot replace Sap in a mead base. Keep Jotun puffs and Magecaps for replanting and meals before allocating the surplus to drinks.
- After establishing an Ashlands foothold, collect Vineberry clusters and Smoke puffs on secured ruin visits. The Asksvin supply guide explains Ashvine planting for repeat vineberry harvests. Smoke puffs remain a foraging task in this route; do not promise an ordinary mushroom crop from them.

Turn raw ingredients into finished drinks
If the vessel is exposed, empty or still busy, use the Fermenter batch diagnosis before committing more supplies. The process is shared with early brewing; the late-game ingredients below are not prerequisites for that checklist.
A practical first Mistlands batch is one Major healing base plus one Minor eitr base for a caster. Together they cost 20 Honey, 4 Blood clots, 5 Royal jelly, 5 Sap, 2 Jotun puffs and 5 Magecaps and yield six of each drink. That is a suggested starter stock, not a required boss budget. Station construction is additional.
- Build the Mead ketill by a forge and place a working fire underneath it with safe smoke ventilation. Current mead bases belong here, not at the Cauldron; a cauldron upgrade will not reveal a missing mead base.
- Build the Fermenter under a roof with at least 70% cover. Use its status to check shelter before committing ingredients. Keep the door and output area reachable.
- Select the desired base at the ketill using the exact recipe below. Carry that base to an empty fermenter and insert it. A base is not a drink.
- Allow two in-game days for a batch. Tap the completed fermenter and collect all six drinks. If producing several categories, additional fermenters can run separate batches; more raw ingredients do not queue several batches inside one vessel.
- Refill the reserve chest, then pack the expedition. Do not demolish or move a loaded fermenter: destroying it loses the base inside.
| Make | Materials per craft | Station |
|---|---|---|
| 1 × Mead ketill | 4 Tin + 6 Copper + 2 Leather scraps | Hammer; within forge range |
| 1 × Fermenter | 30 Fine wood + 5 Bronze + 10 Resin | Hammer; within forge range |
| 1 × Mead base: Major healing | 10 Honey + 4 Blood clot + 5 Royal jelly | Mead ketill |
| 6 × Major healing mead | 1 Mead base: Major healing | Fermenter |
| 1 × Mead base: Medium stamina | 10 Honey + 10 Cloudberries + 10 Yellow mushroom | Mead ketill |
| 6 × Medium stamina mead | 1 Mead base: Medium stamina | Fermenter |
| 1 × Mead base: Minor eitr | 10 Honey + 5 Sap + 2 Jotun puffs + 5 Magecap | Mead ketill |

Add lingering supplies when their tradeoff suits the trip
Lingering stamina can use an established Mistlands farm and Plains forage. The other two lingering drinks here add Ashlands ingredients. Make only the category you intend to use: carrying every bottle takes slots and does not let you ignore its shared cooldown.
The healing base is named Mead base: Lingering health; the finished drink is Lingering healing mead. Keep this distinction when finding the recipe.
| Make | Materials per craft | Station |
|---|---|---|
| 1 × Mead base: Lingering stamina | 10 Sap + 10 Cloudberries + 10 Jotun puffs | Mead ketill |
| 6 × Lingering stamina mead | 1 Mead base: Lingering stamina | Fermenter |
| 1 × Mead base: Lingering health | 10 Sap + 10 Vineberry cluster + 10 Smoke puff | Mead ketill |
| 6 × Lingering healing mead | 1 Mead base: Lingering health | Fermenter |
| 1 × Mead base: Lingering eitr | 10 Sap + 10 Vineberry cluster + 10 Magecap | Mead ketill |
| 6 × Lingering eitr mead | 1 Mead base: Lingering eitr | Fermenter |

Keep a second attempt possible
- Leave finished drinks with spare meals and usable equipment at the recovery bed. For a new batch of six, taking three and leaving three is a simple recommendation; adjust to party size and trip length.
- Place the drinks you actually plan to use on reachable controls before entering danger. Keep the route’s poison, frost or fire preparation as well; health regeneration is not resistance.
- After a blood-magic cast, move out of attack range while recovering. Use barrier guidance to avoid spending more health on a recast that only renews a damaged shield’s timer. Do not wait until a final hit would kill you to begin a ten-second healing effect.
- If the fight fails, eat and rebuild Rested status at the recovery bed, check active cooldowns, then take the reserve and use the existing retreat route. Retrieve the grave before committing to another extended fight; the lost stack is not a reason to bring the entire remaining supply.
- After returning, replace the ingredient and drink reserves before beginning another dangerous harvest. For advanced casting, continue to the Ashlands magic loadout; for skeleton management use the Dead raiser route.

You are ready when…
0 of 3 ready
Saved in this browserWhen something goes wrong
The recipe is missing at the Cauldron.
Use the Mead ketill and personally collect the listed ingredients. This guide uses the current post-Bog Witch station chain.
I cannot drink Major healing while injured.
Check for an active healing-mead cooldown, especially Lingering healing. Another healing tier cannot bypass it; retreat and allow recovery instead of repeatedly trying the bottle.
The eitr drink does not let me cast.
Check food-supported maximum eitr, current eitr and the staff’s requirement. A potion cannot supply missing food capacity; blood magic also spends health.
The fermenter will not work.
Follow the Fermenter batch diagnosis for cover, insertion, brewing and tapping. Do not destroy it to reset a loaded batch.
Brewing keeps exhausting the food supply.
Set aside planting stock, eitr-food Sap/jelly and expedition meals first. Brew from the remaining surplus and shorten the next outing until the reserve recovers.
Keep the result useful
Use the success check to finish this job, restock any reserves you used and return to the supporting journeys or your current boss objective.
