changed.

The December 4, 2023 announcement introduced GTA VI with a 2025 console release window and the first trailer.

The first promise is a year, not a day. This announcement supplies the original starting point for reading the later changes.

Take-Two’s February 2025 outlook targeted a fall 2025 release.

This is a reiteration of the seasonal window, not evidence that fall was first announced here. The plan still sits within 2025.

On May 2, 2025, Take-Two announced a move from fall 2025 to May 26, 2026. This is a historical target, superseded by the later November announcement.

The target crosses into the following year and becomes a specific calendar date. That is the plan in force when Trailer 2 arrives four days later.

Trailer 2 arrived on May 6, 2025. Its original announcement carried the Jason-and-Lucia conspiracy premise and said the footage was captured on PlayStation 5.

The release adds the shared conspiracy premise and a PS5 capture attribution. It belongs to the May 2026 launch plan of its time; the announcement is not a second date change.

Take-Two’s November 6, 2025 announcement set the launch target at November 19, 2026. Its console lineup named PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

November replaces May as the announced target. The earlier May date remains useful for understanding coverage written before this announcement.

Preorders opened June 25, 2026. The scheduled release remains November 19; downloading a week earlier is preload, not early access.

The announced physical box contains a download code. Digital and boxed-code copies can preload from November 12, 2026.

The August 7, 2026 filing reiterated November 19, 2026, keeping the November announcement’s target in place.

This filing keeps the existing target in place. Repeating a date is a confirmation of the plan, not another postponement.

Rockstar dates An Extended Look to August 27, 2026 and links the release on YouTube and Netflix.

The new release broadens the official material available to inspect. Its date is the video’s publication date; it does not replace the game’s November launch target.
