Before you start
- The five totems, active resistance, food and recovery point from Yagluth preparation.
- Repaired melee equipment, spare meals and drinks, with a clear view of the escape circuit.
- A deliberate recovery plan; the portal and reserve kit are outside the intended fighting area.
Start one fight with a clear exit
- Refresh the three foods, Rested status and repaired equipment at the outpost. Drink the finished wine before approaching the altar.
- Place one Fuling totem in each of the five offering positions and activate the central altar. Move onto the prepared fighting ground.
- Let the first attack tell you where the boss is facing. Spend the first exchanges learning the signals rather than committing every point of stamina to a long combo.
- Do not add another set of offerings during a withdrawal or recovery. The active boss is already the problem to solve.

React to the signal, then look for the opening
After an attack has passed, move in for a short melee opening and leave enough stamina to respond again. Fire resistance does not cover every damage component. Prioritize position and recovery over a final hit when the next signal begins.
| Signal | Response |
|---|---|
| Aimed breath beam | Move sideways out of its line. Use a pillar when helpful, but change cover before it breaks. Holding a shield through the full beam can consume the stamina you need to escape. |
| Raised red-glowing left fist | Relocate along the clear circuit as the meteor volley arrives. Do not stop to finish a combo in the impact area. |
| Raised blue-glowing right fist | Leave the close explosion area, or evade the initial hit if already committed. Move off the lingering blue fire before returning to melee. |

Keep the attempt sustainable
This is a repeatable movement-and-opening approach. It does not depend on an exact fight duration, an invulnerable shelter or a claimed local combat test.
- Watch the food and fire-resistance timers during safe movement. Renew supplies before committing to the next close exchange.
- If health falls, use the prepared escape circuit and healing supplies. A portal retreat is preferable to repeatedly trying to heal while standing in an attack.
- If another creature enters, regain space and deal with the immediate threat before returning to the boss. Do not follow it into an unscouted village or tar pit.
- In co-op, spread enough that one attack does not catch everyone, and call a retreat before dragging the boss toward the recovery portal.

Recover a grave without repeating the same failure
Do not expect death to finish the encounter or remove the hazard around the grave. Recovering the kit is the next objective; killing the boss can wait until the attempt is ready again.
- Respawn at the safe base and use the reserve meals, armor and weapon. Recover health and Rested status before traveling back; drink fresh fire resistance.
- Use the tested portal, stop outside the arena and locate the grave from a safe angle. Clear unrelated enemies along the approach first.
- Wait for an opening, reach the grave and retrieve the equipment with inventory room. Move out immediately and equip the recovered items only after reaching cover.
- If recovery fails, improve the approach before another attempt: use a different side of the arena, recover with a companion when available, or rebuild a safer return point. Keep the remaining reserve supplies out of the arena.

Take the trophy home and keep the Torn spirits
After the boss falls, check the drop area and collect both the Yagluth trophy and Torn spirits before starting another expedition. Take the trophy to its matching Sacrificial Stone to make the associated Forsaken power available; inspect the current in-game description before selecting it.
The progression material is the Torn spirit. It builds a Wisp fountain, whose wisps lead to the Wisplight used when entering the Mistlands. Store the spare spirits and use the next guide for the exact fountain, light, equipment-slot and landfall steps.
Keep the Plains farm and workshop operating. The next biome still benefits from this food supply, the black-metal axe and a reserve of linen, iron and Black metal; defeating Yagluth does not replace that infrastructure.
| Make | Materials per craft | Station |
|---|---|---|
| 1 × Black metal axe | 6 Fine wood + 20 Black metal + 5 Linen thread | Forge level 4 |

You are ready when…

The altar does nothing.
Check that all five positions contain Fuling totems, then use the central summon interaction. Merely carrying five in your inventory is not the completed offering.
I keep burning even with the wine.
Check that you drank finished wine before exposure and that its timer remains active. It reduces fire damage, not all damage; leave the blue ground fire and stop trying to stand through full attacks.
Arrows barely damage the boss.
Revisit the resistance-aware weapon choice in preparation. This route supplies a black-metal sword and short melee openings; ordinary pierce and poison are poor primary choices here.
The reward seems useless.
Keep the Torn spirits. They are the Wisp fountain ingredient for the Mistlands visibility chain; follow the next guide instead of discarding them or confusing them with the trophy.
