Before you start
- A recoverable silver route from your first Mountain expedition.
- A sheltered level-2 workbench, level-2 forge, Spice rack cauldron and existing Meadows garden.
- Frost-resistance mead remains available while gathering pelts, trophies, guck and onions.
Make the first silver solve recurring needs
Our first-silver priorities are a wolf fur cape and the Butcher’s table: together they use six silver when the other materials are ready. The cape needs six wolf pelts and a wolf trophy, so the four-bar spend can wait if the trophy has not dropped. Keep using frost mead during that gap.
Equip the finished cape before relying on its frost resistance. It provides the resistance on its own; a whole wolf set is unnecessary for that effect. Keep recovery mead at home even afterward. The wolf chest also offers frost protection, while the trousers and helmet do not.
| Make | Materials per craft | Station |
|---|---|---|
| 1 × Wolf fur cape | 6 Wolf pelt + 4 Silver + 1 Wolf trophy | Workbench level 2 |
| 1 × Butcher's table | 2 Ancient bark + 4 Core wood + 4 Fine wood + 2 Silver | Hammer; within workbench and cauldron range |
| 6 × Frost resistance mead | 1 Mead base: Frost resistance | Fermenter |

Start the onion cycle and reach cauldron level 3
- Plant the recovered onion seeds with the cultivator in cultivated, protected Meadows soil. Give plants open space and check their health. Crops belong in the home garden, not the freezing Mountain camp.
- Plant part of the first onion harvest as Seed-onions to multiply the seed stock. Keep a continuing seed crop and cook only the surplus. The original chest seeds do not provide an unlimited supply by themselves.
- Build the Butcher’s table near the cauldron using ancient bark, core wood, fine wood and two silver. Leave the Spice rack connected; the cauldron must display level 3 for eyescream and wolf skewers.
- Make eyescream from Greydwarf eyes and drake freeze glands while onions grow. Once onions are surplus, make wolf skewers with raw wolf meat and red mushrooms. Onion soup is a level-2 stamina alternative when you want to save freeze glands.
- For the Moder expedition, our default food set is wolf skewer, sausages and eyescream, with onion soup as the stamina substitute. Prepare recovery servings and retain the established Swamp food supply until the garden is dependable.

Prepare a bow with a repair and arrow supply
Draugr fang needs silver, ancient bark, deer hide and guck. Use the familiar Swamp route for ancient bark from ancient trees or crypt loot. Harvest reachable green Gucksacks with an axe or pickaxe; for high sacks, build supported access from a cleared spot. Arrows cannot harvest them. Do not climb over hostile water with all your valuable gear just to finish a bow.
Craft the bow at forge level 2. Our recommended quality-2 upgrade uses the listed additional materials at forge level 3, reached with anvils and forge cooler. The extra durability helps a long fight; carry the repaired Finewood bow as a backup if available.
Mine surface obsidian with the iron pickaxe. Connect a tanning rack alongside the workbench’s chopping block to reach level 3, then make obsidian arrows. Gather flint along Meadows water, leather scraps from boars, deer hides from deer, and feathers from birds or loot. Pack multiple arrow batches; there is no fixed guaranteed kill count because aim, skill and fight length vary.
| Make | Materials per craft | Station |
|---|---|---|
| 1 × Draugr fang | 10 Ancient bark + 20 Silver + 2 Deer hide + 10 Guck | Forge level 2 |
| 1 × Draugr fang: quality 2 upgrade | 5 Ancient bark + 10 Silver + 2 Deer hide + 2 Guck | Forge level 3; Upgrade menu |
| 1 × Forge cooler | 25 Fine wood + 10 Copper | Hammer; within forge range |
| 1 × Tanning rack | 10 Wood + 15 Flint + 20 Leather scraps + 5 Deer hide | Hammer; within workbench range |
| 1 × Chopping block | 10 Wood + 10 Flint | Hammer; within workbench range |
| 20 × Obsidian arrow | 8 Wood + 4 Obsidian + 2 Feathers | Workbench level 3 |

Fill the weak armor slots and keep the workshop usable
Wolf pelts and meat come from wolves; fangs and trophies are not guaranteed with each kill. The chest needs a chain from crypt/Swamp loot or a Wraith, and the drake helmet needs two drake trophies. Check stores first; keep the existing iron helmet if trophy hunting is the only unfinished piece.
A practical armor path is wolf chest and trousers, keeping your existing helmet until the drake trophies arrive. Use the base recipes below to budget each piece independently. Base wolf chest and legs need forge level 2; the helmet uses level 1. This route does not require every silver weapon or a fully upgraded armor set.
For later crafts, a forge toolrack beside the anvils and cooler raises the forge to level 4. It costs 15 iron and ten wood; reserve a separate iron haul for it. A high forge level alone does not upgrade equipment: select each item in Upgrade and confirm the additional materials. Keep the forge sheltered and repair before every long trip.
| Make | Materials per craft | Station |
|---|---|---|
| 1 × Wolf armor chest | 20 Silver + 5 Wolf pelt + 1 Chain | Forge level 2 |
| 1 × Wolf armor legs | 20 Silver + 5 Wolf pelt + 4 Wolf fang | Forge level 2 |
| 1 × Drake helmet | 20 Silver + 2 Wolf pelt + 2 Drake trophy | Forge level 1 |
| 1 × Forge toolrack | 10 Wood + 15 Iron | Hammer; within forge range |

You are ready when…
0 of 3 ready
Saved in this browserWhen something goes wrong
I cannot craft the wolf cape even with silver.
Pick up every ingredient yourself, including a wolf trophy, and check workbench level 2. Continue frost mead while hunting the missing drop.
I cooked all the wolf meat.
Keep the cooked food, but hunt more wolves and reserve raw meat for skewers. A cooked ingredient does not substitute for raw wolf meat.
Eyescream or skewers are missing.
Check cauldron level 3 with both the Spice rack and Butcher’s table connected, then pick up the exact ingredients. Onion soup only needs level 2.
Obsidian arrows require a higher workbench.
A basic workbench plus chopping block plus tanning rack reaches level 3. Check both distinct connections and use the sheltered workbench.
