The short answer
Complete the Alien Ruins Angel Comb for Axum Vision, repair the turbine above it, then turn the opposite control room’s indicators green and activate its central console. The Observatory entrance is on the tower’s west side.
Before you start
- Tadpole with the Depth Module, Sonic Resonator with Feedback Resonator, and Axum Vision.
- Habitat Builder, a Processor supply line and room for the turbine materials.
- These directions reveal the puzzle sequence. The scene inside the Observatory is not described.
Reach the repair stage
- Finish the Alien Ruins Angel Comb using the Feedback Resonator for distant blooms.
- Acquire Axum Vision, then enter the control room overlooking the comb.
- Operate the central console near the window.
- Ascend to the circular turbine structure and inspect its east side, near colony crates and a blue light.

Excludes vehicle upgrades, farm construction, retained seed minerals and repairs already partly completed. A turbine covered by the September 3 recovery fix needs no additional materials. Inventory is not saved or connected to the game.

- Visit the control room opposite the turbine.
- Adjust the controls at each console until their indicators are green.
- Activate the central console after the individual controls are ready.
- Go around the Observatory tower to its west side, away from the Alien Ruins, and use the entrance lever.

A scan prerequisite remains uncertain
PC Gamer’s writer already had the Bioscanner when scanning the turbine and could not confirm that it is mandatory. This guide therefore does not present that upgrade as a proven gate. If scanning fails, record the build and the exact on-screen prompt before gathering a new upgrade.
