Fishipedia: dated journal reference

Track ordinary and Drip records separately, filter missing targets, and back up your progress.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Use Tab as the authoritative checklist for your save. An independently extracted 1.0.12 reference lists 38 ordinary journal creatures and 11 bosses or minibosses; the September 28 Islet update added creatures and a mini-boss, but the current journal total is not established here. The older 49-entry tracker remains a dated reference, not a complete 1.1 roster. That archived source excludes Bing Bong, Clam, Leech, Footsnail and Seagull from its 49 entries; check your current journal for later-build requirements.

Patch notes through 1.1.3 · Updated 2026-10-08 · Official sources checked 2026-10-20.

Version & evidence notes

The 49-entry tracker is an extracted 1.0.12 reference. Islet 1.1.0 adds creatures and a mini-boss without a revised journal total; Kingy has not audited the installed journal.

YOUR NEXT CATCH

Choose. Prepare. Catch.

Plan from the archived 1.0.12 bait reference and published route notes. The 1.1 Islet update adds creatures and bait, so this is not a complete current-build catch list. Your caught marks are shared with the journal checklist below; nothing changes your game save.

CATCH DETAILS

What will you catch next?

Choose an unfinished target below. We’ll keep your selected plan and preparation checks in this browser so you can return after following a guide.

Plan a session by bait

Group your unfinished ordinary targets by the reported bait in this reference. Counts show missing checklist entries, not catch odds, quantities to buy or the fastest route. Check each target’s prerequisites before fishing.

Check a name only after its kill records in Tab. This 49-row targeting table comes from extracted build 25127368 / version 1.0.12; 1.1.0 added creatures and bait, so this is not a complete current-build roster.

What changed in 1.1

The developer says 1.1.0 added creatures, a mini-boss and bait. The announcement does not enumerate the new journal entries or say how many count toward Collector or Fishipedia.

Developer statementDazed Games ↘

Use the journal in your current save as the completion list. Keep this 1.0.12 tracker for older names and bait leads, and record any new entry separately until its acquisition and registration rules are verified.

What counts toward the two collection achievements

The independently extracted 1.0.12 reference reports 49 journal creatures: 38 ordinary entries and 11 bosses or minibosses. The 1.1.0 Islet note announces more creatures and a mini-boss without stating a revised journal count. Use the current in-game journal to see what your save still needs.

From a missing entry to a recorded kill

  1. Open Tab and record the exact missing name and variant. Select that target in the compendium or catch planner, read its bait and linked acquisition guide, then resolve any required island or quest hand-in before spending bait.

    Kingy advice
  2. Corpus’s archived 1.0.12 reference says the ordinary journal entry registers when the creature dies; hooking it alone is insufficient. A Drip entry needs the Drip creature’s death. After a recorded kill, selling or eating the body does not erase it.

Reported source · CorpusReported guidanceFishipedia: death registration and missing-entry diagnosis ↘
  3. Corpus reports that killing a journal boss or miniboss fills both its ordinary and Drip records. The quest trophy is a separate item: keep it for the required hand-in, even after the journal entry appears.

Reported source · CorpusReported guidanceFishipedia: death registration and missing-entry diagnosis ↘
  4. Check the creature name as well as its appearance. The 1.0.12 reference distinguishes Pike from The Old Pike and Dripper from a Drip variant; verify later-build names in your own journal. Bing Bong was outside that archived list.

Reported source · CorpusReported guidanceFishipedia: death registration and missing-entry diagnosis ↘
  5. Reopen Tab after the encounter and compare the same name and variant. Only then copy the result into this site’s checklist. Its boxes are manual browser notes; they cannot detect a kill, alter the game journal, or confirm who received multiplayer credit.

    Kingy advice
  6. If Tab still shows a gap, check the identity, death and variant before repeating the purchase. If an entry vanished after changing computers or saves, follow Saves and updates first. Record the patch, save, host/client role and exact result before reporting a tracking problem.

Bing Bong is a bonus encounter

Bing Bong remains worth finding with the Desert Coconut route. The archived 1.0.12 journal reference excluded it from the 49-entry Collector/Fishipedia list; verify any later-build requirement in your own journal instead of treating 49/49 as a current completion target.

Choose a lure family before chasing a name

  1. The archived 1.0.12 extracted reference separates default rod pools, Beginner, Standard, Professional and Scientific lures, four Boss Lures and quest-specific triggers. The 1.1.0 Islet update added bait; consult current in-game names rather than assuming this older table covers it.

Reported source · CorpusReported guidanceHow to Fish bait selection and current lure pools ↘
  2. Corpus uses Seahorse as an overlap example: Standard and Professional Lures both include it, with different reported selection shares in build 25127368. That is why this checklist avoids assigning every creature a single permanent lure.

  3. For each blank entry, record the name, lure, whether another boss is active, and your displayed version. Change one condition at a time.

Run the Drip list separately

  1. For ordinary creatures, record the ordinary and Drip variants separately. Corpus reports that boss and miniboss kills fill both journal versions. The tracker keeps the two marks independent so you can match your own journal.

Reported source · CorpusReported guidanceHow to Fish Fishipedia and Collector checklist ↘
  2. When a catch is not the variant you need, community guidance reports releasing it and continuing rather than fighting every ordinary result. Kingy has not measured the speed or current despawn behavior.

Find the bait name after a first kill

Patch 1.1.3 adds a bait-name clue to Fishipedia after that fish has been killed once. Use it when hunting its Drip variant; it does not identify bait for an unseen entry.

YOUR PLAYER ROUTE

Turn a blank journal entry into your next catch

Choose an unfinished target, check its bait and requirements, then update caught records only after checking the in-game journal.

Have these ready

  • Use your in-game Tab journal as the source of truth for your save.
  • Choose ordinary or Drip before marking a target; the website stores your own notes on this browser.
  1. Choose the missing name and variant

Reveal the planner, choose ordinary or Drip, and filter to unfinished targets. Search by a supported name or bait, then choose a plan. Revealing the full target list is optional.

  2. Check bait, island and prerequisites

Check a name only after its kill records in Tab. This 49-row targeting table comes from extracted build 25127368 / version 1.0.12; 1.1.0 added creatures and bait, so this is not a complete current-build roster.

  3. Mark preparation separately

Use the plan’s preparation control when you have checked its requirements. This saves your readiness note; it does not mark a catch or change the game.

  4. Check Tab, then mark the catch

For ordinary creatures, record the ordinary and Drip variants separately. Corpus reports that boss and miniboss kills fill both journal versions. The tracker keeps the two marks independent so you can match your own journal.

  5. Back up your journal and return later

Use Journal, import & backup for your browser catch records. Resume saved catch plan returns to your selected target. A journal export is not a game-save backup and does not contain the saved plan’s preparation notes.

How to know you’re done

The selected variant agrees with your in-game journal, and your next plan is available through Resume saved catch plan.

Something went wrong?

The catch is not appearing

For each blank entry, record the name, lure, whether another boss is active, and your displayed version. Change one condition at a time.

The target is missing from the archived 49

Corpus excludes Seagull, Leech, Clam, Footsnail and Bing Bong from its archived 1.0.12 49-entry list. That source does not establish their status in every later build.

Evidence & version limits

The cited journal reference describes 1.0.12 / build 25127368. Unestablished shops, unlocks and fishing spots remain unknown.

Saved plans and catch records belong to this browser. Temporary guide checklists are separate reminders and do not change either record.

These written steps remain usable without video. No continuously reviewed video demonstration is available for this route.

FOLLOW THE EVIDENCE

Sources & limits

No Kingy gameplay or save-journal audit. The 49-row checklist follows an independently extracted 1.0.12 reference and remains attributed external evidence.

Exact lure weights, Drip odds, prices and current achievement registration remain attributed external evidence unless a developer statement says otherwise.

The 1.1.0 Islet update adds creatures and a mini-boss; this 49-row 1.0.12 reference is not certified as the complete 1.1 journal. Current total and new-entry registration are unknown.

Source review checks what an author says; it does not reproduce their play session. Exact Steam builds remain unknown. Video candidates awaiting full review are not included.
