Move the crystal to the lower arm’s eastern end. Place the mirror on the same row, beneath the channel west of the upper rock, so the crystal can become a crossing there.

- Push the crystal down onto the lower arm of the starting island, then right to its eastern end (8:21).
- Move the mirror down and right onto the same row as the crystal. Stop below the narrow channel west of the upper rock. Check that the crystal’s reflected image is in that channel (8:27).
- Activate reflection to sink the crystal into the channel (8:28). Walk north along the starting island’s right edge and across the new crossing (8:29).
- Go around the upper side of the rocks onto the exit island, then walk right to the gold circle. The trader occupies it at 8:31–8:32.
