Reported bait: Scientific Lure

Ordinary target

Archived 1.0.12 target reference. For recorded fish, the current Fishipedia can show a bait-name clue after a first kill. Patch 1.1.3 evidence & limits

Supplied visual reference; not an identification image of this entry.SUPPLIED VISUAL REFERENCE · NOT SPECIES IDENTIFICATION

Before your next cast.

NerdsChalk’s older 1.0.4 guide places Scientific Lure in the Volcano / island-5 progression. Current shop availability was not independently confirmed; check the displayed item before budgeting a trip. Check the full item name and your rod before casting; prices and stock on your build are not established.

Corpus reports that purchased lure pools are not filtered by island. This is one reported targeting pool, not the only possible lure or a guaranteed catch.

Confirm the journal entry

Corpus’s archived 1.0.12 reference says the ordinary journal entry registers when the creature dies; hooking it alone is insufficient. A Drip entry needs the Drip creature’s death. After a recorded kill, selling or eating the body does not erase it. Read the guidance ↗

Reopen Tab after the encounter and compare the same name and variant. Only then copy the result into this site’s checklist. Its boxes are manual browser notes; they cannot detect a kill, alter the game journal, or confirm who received multiplayer credit. Read the guidance ↗
