Goblin Shark
Reported bait: Scientific Boss Lure
Archived 1.0.12 target reference. For recorded fish, the current Fishipedia can show a bait-name clue after a first kill. Patch 1.1.3 evidence & limits
SUPPLIED VISUAL REFERENCE · NOT SPECIES IDENTIFICATIONBefore your next cast.
Obtain Scientific Boss Lure and finish any active boss encounter before using another dedicated boss lure. Corpus’s 1.0.12 reference lists Scientific Boss Lure on Volcano for Goblin Shark. Scientific Lure is a different item and does not list that miniboss. Check the full item name and your rod before casting; prices and stock on your build are not established.
Corpus reports that purchased lure pools are not filtered by island. This lure association does not establish a guaranteed encounter or a tested fight strategy.
Confirm the journal entry
Corpus reports that killing a journal boss or miniboss fills both its ordinary and Drip records. The quest trophy is a separate item: keep it for the required hand-in, even after the journal entry appears. Read the guidance ↗
Reopen Tab after the encounter and compare the same name and variant. Only then copy the result into this site’s checklist. Its boxes are manual browser notes; they cannot detect a kill, alter the game journal, or confirm who received multiplayer credit. Read the guidance ↗
