Sothis

At a glance

FieldKnown information
NameSothis.
TitleProgenitor god.
Story functionCharges the player’s soul with saving the world.
AssociationPreviously associated by reporting and official promotional summaries with the Fódlan setting.
PlayabilityNot announced in the reviewed material.
Voice actorNot announced in the reviewed material.

Press coverage observes that promotional footage presents Sothis with an adult appearance, in contrast to how the same coverage describes her appearance in Three Houses. This should be treated as a visual observation rather than proof of a specific age, transformation, chronology, or identity split.

The reviewed material does not explain why Sothis recruits a soul, what condition she is in during 1454, whether she can travel through time herself, or how her authority relates to Fortuna.

Fortuna

At a glance

FieldKnown information
NameFortuna.
Divine roleGoddess of fate; official summaries associate her with time-traveling power.
Narrative functionHelps the protagonist alter the four heroes’ fates to prevent the ruined future.
Gameplay associationFortuna’s Blessing rewinds battle to an earlier point.
PlayabilityNot announced in the reviewed material.
Voice actorNot announced in the reviewed material.

The relationship between Fortuna’s story-level time travel and the battle-level rewind is thematically explicit, but the reviewed material does not establish whether battle rewinds are canon events acknowledged by characters.

Balor

At a glance

FieldKnown information
NameBalor.
DesignationDemon god.
Status in 1454Returned or resurrected and threatening the Dagdan Empire with ruin.
Earlier historyNot publicly detailed in the reviewed material.
PlayabilityNot announced.
Battle form, class, or weaponNot announced.

“Return” and “resurrection” both appear in the reviewed official-source summaries. Until exact localized wording is checked, an article should avoid inferring whether Balor was dead, sealed, banished, dormant, or otherwise absent.

Dagda the Great

Dagda the Great is identified as the founding king honored by the Heroic Games. No supplied evidence identifies his reign, deeds, lineage, divine status, appearance, or relationship to the geographical name Dagda.

Secondary claims requiring verification

A community-derived summary names the player avatar “Eshmel.” Nintendo’s supplied material instead refers to the player as the protagonist or a soul tasked by Sothis. “Eshmel” should not be treated as an officially confirmed localized name without a direct Nintendo character profile, interface image, or released-game credit.

A community account reports 61 confirmed playable characters. No reviewed Nintendo source confirms that roster total. Wiki roster pages should count only individually verified characters and should not advertise 61 as an official total.
