Fortune’s Weave supports optional mouse input using Joy-Con 2 controllers, described as a first for the series. Players can use mouse input to navigate battles, move units, and access information, while retaining conventional button controls. Reporting states that switching between button and mouse input is seamless.

Joy-Con 2 mouse functionality uses the controllers on a flat surface. Reflective surfaces such as glass and uneven surfaces such as a lap may reduce performance. Nintendo recommends Joy-Con 2 straps for comfort, although general system documentation notes that mouse use may be possible without them depending on the software.
