Windrose ship repair: first wreck, Wharf or repair kit?

First ship: finish both the wreck and crew objectives

This is the reported quest restoration bill, not a fixed maintenance price for every damaged ship. The same guide places ship inventory and equipment management at a coastal Wharf.

1. Track I Need a Bigger Boat and inspect the quest wreck's repair prompt.
2. Compare the required materials with the reported bill below, then supply the amounts shown by your game.
3. Complete the crew-rescue objective at the marked pirate camps. Repairing the hull alone does not satisfy the reported crew requirement.
4. Return and check that the quest permits you to use the ship before preparing a voyage.

Owned ship: inspect the Wharf repair quote

Prima describes a wood-only quote for Wharf repairs. It does not establish a universal fixed charge. If your current interface requires something different, retain that quote with the ship type and build rather than substituting the first-wreck bill.

1. Interact with your Wharf and open ship selection.
2. Select the damaged ship, then choose its repair/health-percentage control.
3. Read the displayed quote and check your wood supply before confirming.
4. After repair, inspect the selected ship's health again before leaving.

At sea: account for damage interrupting repairs

Prima reports that damage cancels an ordinary Repair Kit's healing effect, while its cooldown still prevents immediate reuse. A Combat Repair Kit heals faster and incoming damage shortens its effect instead of cancelling it outright.

Before an encounter, inspect the equipped kit, effect and cooldown in your build. No kit is a promise that the next volley is survivable. Kingy has not verified the current recipe, slot-loading procedure, healing numbers or interactions with special hull equipment.

If an equipped ship component cannot be upgraded

The final loadout check is Kingy's suggested safeguard. Exact upgrade costs and current re-equipping prompts remain untested.

1. Check the component at the Wharf. Epic's guide says equipped ship parts must be returned to your personal inventory before upgrading.
2. Take the component to the Shipwright's Workshop and inspect its upgrade requirement.
3. After the upgrade, check the ship's loadout before sailing; keep the old and new component details if it still cannot be equipped.

If the ship is destroyed or the menu disagrees

A destroyed vessel is a separate recovery case. This guide does not verify its restoration cost, cargo retention or a universal recall key. Record whether the ship is missing, destroyed or simply damaged before following a recovery guide.

For a mismatch, capture the quest state, ship type, health, selected repair option and exact message with your installed version. A later patch announcement does not by itself prove that every April material value or control still matches.
